“What does this Scripture mean?” asked one of the Kimyal pastors. He read Romans 6:4.
“We are buried with Him by baptism into death, so that just as the glory of God the Father raised up Christ from the dead, in that same way we also can walk in newness of life.”
The missionary Orin Kidd answered, “I’ve told you about baptism, and how it’s a picture of your new life. Now, you ask the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of your understanding.”
All of the young men were silent, reading the Scripture and praying.
Then Siud jumped up. “The Lord spoke to me! I understand it! It means that we were in Christ when He died! We were in Christ when He rose again! Jesus has broken the power of sin in our lives! We can live holy lives in the power of the Holy Spirit!
“Tuan Kidd!” Siud exclaimed. “I will teach my people this Sunday!”

Thank You, Lord, for giving us Your Holy Spirit to teach me through Your holy Scriptures. Help me to be faithful in asking for Your help when I read.
