101 Devotionals for Boys #64

101 Devotionals for Boys from the Lives of Great Christians and 101 Devotionals for Girls from the Lives of Great Christians will both be published in 2017. We’re publishing one or two devotionals a week to give you a taste of what you’ll get in those two gift books. This one is based on a story from Witness Men: True Stories of God at Work in Papua, Indonesia (Hidden Heroes #3).

“Listen, Siud,” missionary Orin Kidd said. “This is from the last book of the Bible, the book of Revelation.” Orin read Revelation 7:9-10 in the Kimyal language,

“I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!’”

Siud was stunned. “This means that people from all nations will praise Jesus Christ together? The Kimyals too?”

“Yes, the Kimyals too.”

It seemed almost too good to be true. People from all nations, tribes, and languages worshiping together around the throne of God!

If you’ve trusted in Christ as your Savior, you’ll be worshiping with people from Indonesia and Ethiopia and Colombia and Iran and all over the world. What a day that will be!

Thank You, God, that You love to call people from all over the world, of all nations, tribes, and languages, to worship You. Thank You that they are all my brothers and sisters in Christ.
