This inspiring woman has a chapter in the book Witness Men: True Stories of God at Work in Papua, Indonesia. Seems like she deserves a full biography. Stricken with polio when she was four, Elinor still went as a missionary to one of the most mountainous regions of the world.

Her selfless commitment to Christ and to the people of Papua, Indonesia, caused them to see that “Bad Legs” was not a negative epithet, but a name of honor. She had sacrificed so that they could know the Savior.
